Hello Dear Friends!!!!

We hope the year has taken off to a great start, we know it has for us!! LPM is turning 2 years old on Sunday, 27th of February 2011, and we are proud and grateful for the immense support from everyone!!

To celebrate our 2nd anniversary, we are giving you the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of hundreds of Nigerians alongside Freedom Foundation; an NGO, which was set up in 2001 to carry out the mandate of pioneering social reformation within communities. It was established as a non-profit organization committed to affecting society by empowering individuals who are affected by various categories of social and economic disadvantage (drug addicts & sex workers for example). The individuals Freedom Foundation rescues are vulnerable. Some were sold by their own parents as barter for debts, and from ages as young as 13, they have been drugged up to work the streets of Lagos, serving as objects to enrich other men – men who bully and threaten their lives, e-ver-y-day.

With many reasons to give thanks, we’ve decided to partner with this great organization to raise funds for the Ladies who reside in Genesis House, where they are fully re-habilitated and nurtured to become better/stronger women with strong values in their community. With this in mind we were wondering what MORE can we GIVE? We thought hard about this, and came up to the an equation that ends up as the BIGGEST Fashion Market Party Lagos is yet to see:

MORE Space + MORE Vendors = MORE Merrier People.

Seeing as it is a Celebration we will have a Food Court, selling a variety of food, drink and confectionary, a lounge area where documentaries of the great work being done by the freedom foundation will be displayed, and even a DJ!

We trust and thank you in advance for being a part of this positive and impactful initiative as we all get to make a difference in the lives of hundreds of Women, who are simply victims of society. We hope you join LePetit Marche (LPM) to GIVE a large percentage of the proceeds raised from the rental of stalls and donate to the good work of the freedom foundation! So please, help make a difference!

We will be taking stall reservations at for a large variety of vendors including:

- Fashion designers

- Fabric

- Men and women High street fashion

- Shoes and bags

- Accessories

- Food and drink

- Home Essentials and more

For this anniversary in February we will be hosting you at Harbor Point, located on Wilmot

Point, off Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event will start by 12 pm, and run till 8.00pm.

Hey guys, I hope you all had a great week. I am so happy that it has stopped snowing yay!!!. Its been sunny for the past few days and I hope it stays this way till summer (I am not in the mood for snow).

I really loved this outfit I wore today because I was really comfortable. I know I am going to miss wearing my boots (will soon have to part with them because they are getting old). But we had good times while it lasted.

Feminine, wearable and playfully sophisticated are words that best describe Akpos Okudu pieces. Every Akpos Okudu piece shows a love for lush fabric, intricate details and colour. With this collection, the designer is clearer about her clients’ needs and what they are about and has made clothes that women love to wear, want to wear & CAN afford to wear.

Remember the picture of the ladies in pink having a tea party on the lawn? Designer Akpos Okudu is back injecting a little bit of sunshine in the world one pretty little thing at a time! It’s been a whirlwind year; numerous exhibitions, editorials in ThisDay Style, FAB and Complete Fashion magazines, dressing celebrities including Joke Silva, Stephanie Okereke and Omowunmi Akinnifesi and a nomination at The Future Awards for “Designer of the Year”!

With the release of the long awaited lookbook for this collection, Akpos Okudu has grown as a designer and confidently creates the type of clothes that she is passionate about; pieces that women LOVE to wear, WANT to wear and CAN afford to wear. For the first time, she also delves into the world of accessories with a unique range due to be launched shortly.

Shot on location at the gorgeous Bishop’s Cottage, Lagos, the pieces explode with colour, zest and joie de vivre. Working with signature fabrics like brocade, silk and satin, the designer plays with colour blocking (with the jewel tone Eki dress and Eniye tanks), structure (with the Oroma jacket and shorts) and draping (with the April dress). The results are fun, easy pieces that flatter and translate easily from day to evening. And at affordable prices, yanga doesn’t have to pain :)

themed photoshoot at the impressive Novotel Hotel, Port Harcourt.

8th of February, 2010. For immediate release

Valentine's Day is the day to show people who are close to you how much you appreciate them. Althought some people might feel they can't enjoy it because they don't have a girlfriend or a boyfriend to share it with (get your mind outta there). If you have a partner go out and have fun, if you don't, still go out and have fun with people close to you (friends, coworkers, family etc). I see it as just a they to go out of the ordinary to do something special for someone, so don't think its only for love birds ;).

I wish you all a Happy Vals day!

I am really proud to say that here are a lot of Nigerian amazing designers who are making or have made a name for themselves. Omotola is one of Nigeria's top actresses. Her style has been evolving over the years, not only has she sustained her beautiful looks, but she has also maintained her beautiful curves.
